Early in the morning, National Geographic Islander anchored at Santiago Island. We began our morning on Espumilla Beach as birds started their feeding activity. Land and marine birds offered opportunities to enjoy photography while we took walks and relaxed on the beach. It was wonderful to visit the site where Charles Darwin spent a week during his trip to the Galapagos Islands.
The day offered many opportunities to discover some of the species unique to Galapagos. We spotted fur seals at Puerto Egas and while snorkeling in Buccaneer Cove.
