We continued our journey through the Scotia Sea towards the Falkland Islands. Winter is surely coming to the Southern Ocean with all the low pressure systems sweeping through this part of the world.

It was a leisurely morning, and we had a chance to watch an old favorite movie, “Madagascar,” and there was lots of laughter heard in the lounge. The seas calmed a bit throughout the morning so many hardy souls were in the dining room for lunch. Afterwards lots of people were on the bridge trying to catch the elusive photos of waves crashing over the bow. There was even a rainbow seen at one point!

The rest of the afternoon was filled with a few presentations. Various expedition staff members told about trips that Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic offer on our other ships and to other amazing places in the world. Jess Farrer gave the last talk of the day entitled “Got Fish?” which was an excellent overview of global fisheries issues as well as suggestions on which fish are the most sustainable to eat.

After all the adventure-filled days in South Georgia, a day at sea was a chance to catch up and sort through the thousands of photos we took!
