Today we arrived with gorgeous weather to the port town of Siglufjörður, a once bustling herring fishing port. It is now home to an award-winning herring-era museum. We spent the morning visiting the museum and walking around the town. We then set sail for Iceland’s second largest city, Akureyri. We spent the afternoon walking around town and visiting the beautiful botanical garden. In the evening, we had one of Iceland’s most beloved singer/songwriters, Svavar Knútur, join us after dinner for a laughter filled concert.
