Early in the morning, before breakfast, we left the ship to explore the turquoise waters of Sombrero Chino Island by kayak. Our mission was to look for wildlife and observe stunning volcanic landscapes. Some of us chose to visit a small white sand beach at the foot of Sombrero Chino where we indulged in stretching and unwinding on an island completely to ourselves.
In the afternoon, we ventured to one of the most dramatic sites in the Galapagos, Sullivan Bay. This remarkable location features a recently formed lava flow, preserving intricate volcanic patterns on its surface as if the eruption had occurred just yesterday. Our guests were thrilled by the opportunity to step back in time and imagine how the islands appeared at the dawn of their formation.
