This morning we visited the little island of South Plaza. Right after disembarkation, we observed playful Galapagos sea lions, as well as Galapagos land iguanas roaming slowly in search of food underneath prickly pear cacti. Along the cliffs we saw swallow-tailed gulls, several of them with juvenile. We came back on board, and guests had time to swim or even jump off the ship for a fun dive!
In the afternoon, we visited Santa Fe Island where several guests decided to kayak and paddleboard. Others hiked up a nearby cliff to a plateau that overlooks the bay. We were lucky to find a good number of the unique Santa Fe land iguanas. The end of the day was spent on a beautiful white sandy beach covered by Galapagos sea lions, what a great day!
