Spert Island offers one of the best Zodiac cruises on the peninsula, but it requires the perfect conditions. And yes, our luck with the weather continues for this voyage, and it was a spectacular morning cruise.
The afternoon took us to Cierva Cove, where we were able to repeat the adventure and Zodiac cruise with chinstrap penguins and the occasional humpback whale.
But this beautiful day was far from over. After dinner, Captain Martin and his Bridge team navigated us through the amazing Graham Passage as the evening light grew softer.
Antarctica had yet another treat for us. Right before midnight, Expedition Leader Dan announced feeding humpbacks just off the ship. The sound of them trumpeting and breathing echoed in the still night as we stopped to watch them and listen to them.
