What makes it a good day? Is it the sun shining brightly when you don’t expect it? A view, either from a tall peak or a beautiful outlook? Is it a drink, locally crafted by hand to immerse you in a sense of place? Is it the company of family and new and old friends?
What makes a day one to remember? Is it the variety of flowers in blossom all at once? The awe of watching bears and people alike fishing on the same river? Is it seeing the tallest mountains hundreds of miles away covered in ice? Flowing along the river and connecting with the place and its people?
Whatever the combination, in the end we all had our unique experiences during this sunny day in Haines that made it special. We lived it from beginning to end, basking in the sun and Alaskan summer spirit, grateful to be here.
