Guests awoke as the ship navigated its way into Twillingate. Those that made it onto the bridge were welcomed by bald eagles and stunning views of the two islands that make up Twillingate as we approached our anchorage. Once again, the weather gods were looking down fondly on us as we managed to avoid any rain as guests made their way to shore for scenic tours and hikes.

Those on tours were taken to a lighthouse, two museums, and a wine tasting. While those who opted for hiking followed a 5 km trail through magnificent vistas.

After another delicious lunch, National Geographic Explorer made her way out of the harbor set on a course for St. Johns, while guests shared their photos and enjoyed views of the local seabirds. As the sun set over another successful voyage, the captain treated all on board to a very entertaining farewell evening.
