On an uncharacteristically sunny day in Ushk Bay, Southeast Alaska, guests enjoyed their first hikes and kayaking excursions. Hikers bushwhacked through lush forests, witnessing salmon-filled rivers and spotting numerous signs of bears. They also traversed into unique muskegs, rich with mosses, wildflowers, and stunted trees. Kayakers glided through the calm waters, observing salmon, and a smack of different jellies.
The day concluded with shared recaps aboard the ship. After dinner, guests spotted humpback whales and enjoyed the sunset as they watched the whales forage in the fading light.
