Lindblad Expeditions has a long legacy with West Point Island, one of Lars-Eric Lindblad’s favorite places to visit. Lars-Eric was the founder of Lindblad Travel and father of Sven-Olof Lindblad. He requested that some of his ashes be laid to rest in the garden upon his passing. With thousands of black-browed albatrosses and rockhopper penguins and millions of burrowing thin-billed prions on shore, there is little doubt why he chose this as one of his final resting spots.
