Guests and crew alike of National Geographic Sea Bird were delighted to have sunshine and blue skies in Wrangell, Alaska for our day of adventure and exploration.

Zodiac shuttles landed on a seaplane dock in the harbor with enthusiastic guests heading ashore for a variety of options. Activities included a visit to Chief Shakes tribal house and a petroglyph beach, a trip to Anan Creek Wildlife Observatory, a jetboat tour of the Stikine River, and various hikes.

A much-welcomed treat and surprise awaited the hikers: the wild blueberries and the salmonberries were perfectly ripe, sweet, and plentiful for our memorable day ashore.
