In the early morning, we explored a narrow tributary that holds a great diversity of birds that was accessible due to the high-water level of the season. One of the highlights was the colorful toucan that perched on a tree close to our groups.

After breakfast we went in search of the smallest monkey species in the world, the famous pigmy marmoset. This is a small creature that feeds on the sap of a specific tree. We visited an area located near a village where this tree species is abundant. After an interesting walk in the area, we finally spotted these tiny creatures.

In the afternoon, we navigated along the El Dorado Tributary, which is a forest rich in fruits and flowers, the perfect scenario for monkeys. As the sun set, we had a night exploration in the skiffs looking for the nocturnal creatures that appeared for us.
