Exclusive Screening of Endurance Aboard Select Departures Visiting South Georgia and the Falklands

Polar explorer Ernest Shackleton led one of the most iconic expeditions to Antarctica. In a legendary feat of leadership and perseverance, Shackleton kept his crew of 27 men alive for over a year despite the loss of their ship in the frigid pack ice.

Over a century later, a team of modern-day explorers set out to find the sunken ship. Endurance, a new film from National Geographic Documentary Films, tells the inspiring stories of these two landmark expeditions, bound by their shared grit and determination.

Now guests on select 2025 voyages to South Georgia and the Falkland Islands aboard the National Geographic Endurance are invited to an exclusive onboard screening of this groundbreaking film, directed by Chai Vasarhelyi, Jimmy Chin and Natalie Hewit.

Watch the preview:

Endurance features expedition leader John Shears, expedition sub-sea manager Nico Vincent and historian and broadcaster Dan Snow. The film also includes Mensun Bound, a maritime archeologist and the Director of Exploration for the March 2022 discovery expedition. A native of the Falkland Islands, Bound will impart his expertise as guest speaker aboard the October 30, 2025 departure of Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falklands—an epic journey where you’ll walk in Shackleton’s footsteps and explore the same frozen continent, experiencing its rugged beauty and fragile ecosystems firsthand.

Learn more about traveling with Bound in this episode of In Good Company.
