Swimming With Marine Iguanas
Fernandina and Isabela Island are two of the best places in Galápagos to see an abundance of marine iguanas, the world’s only sea-going lizards. On recent visits to both islands, guests aboard the new National Geographic Islander II, got a spectacularly close look at this endemic species and its many unique behaviors, from diving for algae to sneezing out salt. Watch as naturalist Cristian Villarroel and two young explorers share insightful commentary on the day's events.
