Spend two days actively exploring islands, museums and more as you engage with the city’s energetic pace. You’ll also experience Oslo’s deep commitment to sustainable travel as you venture out on foot and on green transportation such as the metro and ferry.
Day 1 - Oslo
Arrive in the Norwegian capital of Oslo and check in to the historic Hotel Bristol or similar. This afternoon, take a scenic metro ride to the peaceful mountaintop forest at Holmenkollen. Enjoy a hike along woodland trails as you explore this iconic peak that towers above the city. Then, visit the world-renowned Holmenkollen Ski Jump which hosted events for the 1952 Winter Olympics. Learn about 4,000 years of Nordic and downhill skiing history at the adjoining Ski Museum and take in spectacular views of Oslo from the observation deck on top. Enjoy an early dinner at Holmenkollen Lodge before returning to the city.

Day 2 - Oslo
Oslo sits at the head of a fjord filled with picturesque islands waiting to be explored. Visit several of them throughout the day using one of the city’s local ferries and enjoy lunch along the way. This afternoon, return to the city and spend some time at your leisure to possibly visit the medieval Akershus Fortress, built in the 13th century by King Haakon V before dinner on your own in one of the fantastic options Oslo has to offer.

Day 3 - Oslo
This morning, walk through the city to the waterfront and visit your choice of two museums: the Nobel Prize Museum, which exhibits Nobel Prize-winning ideas throughout history; or the National Museum, home to several renowned works of art including Edvard Munch’s The Scream. Enjoy lunch together before joining the main expedition group back at the hotel to check in with the hospitality desk in the afternoon.
