Expedition Spotlight - Finding the Komodo Dragon The World's Largest Lizard

  • Feb 2024

On several of our Indonesian expeditions, our ships call on the beautiful island of Komodo, a UNESCO World Heritage site, national park, and home to the world’s largest living lizard. The famed Komodo dragon, which reaches up to 150 lbs and 10 feet in length, can be found roaming the island’s trails amongst the company of vibrant tropical birds twittering in the trees, or lounging near crystalline shores during the dry season. In this Expedition Spotlight, join Naturalist Mike Greenfelder as he spots these apex predators in the wild and shares more about one of the rarest reptile species on the planet.
