Observe black and brown bears in their natural habitat. Watch them from an observation deck or at creek level as they gather together to feed on the largest pacific pink salmon return in Southeast Alaska. See other wildlife living off this bounty, including bald eagles and harbor seals.
In addition to being an excellent wildlife viewing location, Anan Creek is also an area rich in history. The Stikine Tlingit clans had summer fish camps here and used Anan Creek’s large salmon spawning run to catch and preserve salmon for their winter food supply.
