Nikolaos Doulis joined Lindblad Expeditions in August 2017. An established turnaround and change management specialist, he took over the completion of two in-process new builds and initiated the development of Lindblad’s first polar new build, the National Geographic Endurance.
Mr. Doulis comes to Lindblad Expeditions from a 24-year tenure at Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL), the second-largest global cruise company, where he served as Fleet Technical Director. In that role, he was responsible for implementing and managing technical operations processes for Celebrity Cruises ships and new ventures, including the start-up of Expedition TUI Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, and Sky Seas Golden Era. During his tenure, he successfully directed multiple high-volume, multi-million-dollar refurbishing projects from inception to completion and introduced technical improvements. In addition, he established the technical, environmental, safety, and security standards and compliance for all Celebrity vessels and the TUI cruises fleet.
At Lindblad Expeditions, Mr. Doulis has introduced operations process improvements, quality management standards, and increased accountability and cost controls, culminating in the recent launch of the newest Lindblad vessels, National Geographic Venture, National Geographic Endurance, and National Geographic Resolution.
