Abel Tasman is one of New Zealand’s newest national parks and one of the most popular with its turquoise waters, golden sand beaches, and its primordial fern tree forest. Our day was full of adventure, including hiking on a coastal trail, kayaking through many bays, and spending quality time on the beach.

The food was exceptional today and rivaled the excursions. We were treated with an outdoor breakfast, beach BBQ, and a special New Zealand buffet for dinner on the back deck.

We are heading east tonight through the Cook Strait as the full moon rises.
