We woke up today in front of Bartholomew Island and set out to climb a wooden stairway to the top of the eroded volcano. This walk allowed us to explain the succession of life in newly formed islands where the nutrients are absorbed by the plants from the air as opposed to the roots, as if they were epiphytes or air plants. After the walk, we explored the shoreline with the Zodiacs and found several endemic Galapagos penguins. Later in the morning, we had the choice of visiting the beach, snorkeling or exploring on the glass bottomed boat. Plenty of activities for a healthy lifestyle!

During lunch, we sailed towards Chinese Hat, a shield volcano where we could choose between Zodiac rides, snorkeling, kayaking, or visiting a white sandy beach. Another great day in paradise ends.
