It’s another beautiful day in Galapagos and now the National Geographic Endeavour happens to be anchored at the center of the archipelago. By the island of Santiago there is a very little island called Bartolomé where we are organizing the morning activities of the expedition today. It all begins with an early morning walk to the summit of the island where the landscape is considered a Galapagos trademark, it is just beyond description. The view is not the only attraction we have on this island – there is also the volcano and the unexpected vegetation. By midway through the path all of our guests were highly satisfied with what they had seen.

Following this early morning visit, we prepared ourselves to disembark at the golden beach of the island for aquatic exploration. Some will go swimming, and some others will go snorkeling along the coast with tropical and reef fishes, and perhaps some penguins and sharks. It’s a great island.

In the afternoon we anchored at Sombrero Chino, another small island by Santiago and one of the largest islands in Galapagos. Our intention is to take the explorers for some nice deep-water snorkeling for one more close encounter with the fish, sharks, and penguins in Galapagos. Following this we’ll be organizing a Zodiac ride along the coast of Sombrero Chino and Santiago to take a closer view of the penguins sitting on the rocks and the sea lion females taking care of the baby sea lions.

We were lucky enough to succeed in all the expectations we had today, another beautiful Galapagos day.
