The last full day of this expedition to Baja’s Magdalena Bay did not disappoint! We set out from National Geographic Sea Bird in the morning and raced past the breakers to discover approximately 15 gray whales awaiting us. These gray whales spy-hopped, tail-fluked, and deeply inspired us with their heart-shaped exhales. It was a fitting end to our incredible whale watching adventure in Baja.

The excitement did not end there! We sailed through the Hull Canal and Sand Dollar Beach fulfilled our beachcombing needs. We explored shell middens and hiked to Sand Dollar Beach for our last excursion of the expedition.
