We started our day with a visit to Cerro Dragon, where we did a hike along a rocky trail looking for land iguanas. As soon we got to an area with vegetation, we found them posing for us right on the trail. Animals here in the Galapagos Islands are not afraid of humans, so it was very easy for our guests to take pictures at different angles.
Then, it was back to the ship to get ready for snorkeling along the coast of Santa Cruz. Here we saw many sea stars on the sea floor and many colorful fishes all around. Some guests also saw white-tipped reef sharks. During the afternoon we had had the option of kayaking or taking a Zodiac ride on Borrero Bay. At sunset, we enjoyed a wine tasting organized by the hotel department as the ship navigated around Daphne Major Islet. It was a wonderful day in paradise!
