Our wonderful voyage has come to an end. While we are sailing back into the Beagle Channel towards Ushuaia — the world's southernmost city, and where our journey began —we look back on a unique adventure to the frozen continent and share the many memories with our fellow travelers.

Antarctica has left a deep, awe-inspiring impression on all of us, and we realize how lucky we are to have seen and experienced this magnificent yet fragile world. Never before has National Geographic Resolution ventured this far south of the Antarctic Circle, following the footsteps of the great Antarctic explorers. We have discovered a world of mesmerizing ice formations, waddling penguins, and giant whales; we have witnessed the world’s last great wilderness, exploring where few have been before.

Antarctica is beautiful beyond imagination, and is home to some of the most incredible species of our planet. It was long considered a pristine wilderness, but the impacts of climate change and human pollution are affecting its fragile marine ecosystems. It is now time to pack our bags and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation; we will return home with a forever-changed perspective and a sense of responsibility to keep Antarctica pristine and as majestic for our future generations as it is today.
