Guests frequently ask the guides, “What is the best time to come to Galapagos?”, and the answer is, “Year-round!” Why is that? Well, Galapagos is located on the equator, and here the weather conditions are driven by trade wind directions that change constantly along with the many marine currents surrounding the archipelago.
This morning we visited Gardner Bay and the weather after the rain was perfect. The sun was shining and the sky was blue, the bay was a beautiful turquoise color, and the white sandy beach was impeccable, with sea lions basking in the sun. It was the perfect scenario to explore the shoreline, walking among wildlife, kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling around the islets.
In the afternoon we explored Punta Suarez. Some dolphins approached our ship, and a wide variety of sea birds were seen, such as Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, sea gulls, tropical birds, and others.
