Today on board National Geographic Endeavour II we were anchored at Floreana Island. Before breakfast, we started our day with a hike at Punta Cormorant to take advantage of the sunrise, which provides the best light for photography. After a wet landing, we started a hike into the dry forest, where a flamingo lagoon is located. We spent some time admiring the beauty and elegance of these birds, and we were fortunate to even spot a few baby flamingos. We walked further into a Pacific sea turtle-nesting site. It is so nice to experience nature at daybreak when everything is just waking up.

Once we had breakfast, we sailed to Champion Island to snorkel or ride the glass-bottom boat. We spot white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos sea lions, sea turtles, and many tropical fish.

In the afternoon, we visited Post Office Bay. Following a centuries-old tradition, we left postcards without postage to be hand-delivered by other visitors, and our guests collected some to hand-deliver back home. There was the option to either kayak, paddleboard, snorkel, or swim from the beach. This was a day full of activities to enjoy this wonderful paradise.
