Bartolomé
Early in the morning we set foot on Bartolomé Island; this was an optional walk up a 340 foot summit of this small but impressive island. Some of us went fast as a morning workout and some of us took a bit of time and proceeded with our naturalist’s interpretation of its surroundings. Once on top we saw the impressive view from above, the world famous pinnacle rock was in front of us, surrounded by several parasitic cones, what a great sight.
Back on board for breakfast and soon after, we landed on this beautiful golden beach for our water activities, snorkeling, swimming, or just relaxing around the beaches which Bartolomé island is also famous for.
As soon as we were all back on board we started navigating towards our next destination, James Island, our adopted island. We wet landed on a black sand beach as some of us snorkeled and others just pulled out a yellow towel and sunbathed under our radiant equatorial sun. Soon after we went on a walk to the grottos, the land of fur seals and many other fantastic creatures. We said good bye to this wonderful place as the sun was setting on the horizon.
Our expedition has come to an end; we had the greatest time with a lot of memories in this piece of heaven on earth.
