Today, the Island of Genovesa was full of wildlife. Wherever we looked there was something landing, feeding or nesting. Would have taken about twenty more pictures to actually give a fair idea of the experience of being here!

The afternoon walk has always the highlight of looking for and finding the Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus) among rocks that are exactly the same color. Sometimes it is seen more than a mile away. This time the creature came to us. It got so closed that our people had to give up their binoculars! (That doesn't happen very often to birdwatchers) I tell you, it got closer than ever before! On this lucky occasion we managed to get a surprising picture!
