Floreana Island

A great day in a very remote and beautiful island in the Pacific Ocean! Floreana Island has so many attractions that it can easily satisfy the most demanding expectations. At the most famous historical site of the archipelago, Post Office Bay, we started our day with a pre-breakfast outing. Later in the morning, we went to snorkel in Champion Island, a real underwater paradise. Sea lions were without any doubt, the true stars of the morning. Cheerful and fast they were zooming in front of our astonished eyes. Many took the glass-bottom where they could enjoy great sightings without even getting wet.

The afternoon was fulfilled with a second snorkeling this time in Devils’ crown. This place is simply spectacular. It is an old, eroded and submerged volcanic cone that now is home for many interesting fish.

After the snorkeling outing, we went for a walk on Punta Cormorant where we found two major attractions: an idyllic lagoon with flamingos and a white beach that is considered a marine turtle nesting sanctuary. As you have noticed through these short paragraphs, we did all of these activities just in one day!

Happy after all the new sightings and new experiences, reluctantly we came back on board with our minds getting ready for the next adventures that await for us tomorrow.
