Bartolome & Santiago Islands

Ever since I’ve been guiding, Bartolome Island has been the place for me to focus in geology. There is an absence of wild life on land, but in the surrounding waters life arises and flourishes.

The two islands that we were visiting today are the ones where the most imperative principle of life operates. We learn about how plants and animals of all kinds interact with each other and also serve one another, and we realize about the ways in which we can benefit from those behaviors. “Everybody gets something because gives something.” Revealing the beauty and wonder of our natural world.

However, the great “finale” for this trip, was to see how the kids were able to put into practice all the knowledge that they have gained this week. This made their parents and grandparents very proud. They did an amazing play, where, they showed how the different species arrived and established in this beautiful paradise.
