Four Mexican whale watch guides known as "lancheros" wave adi¢s after a full morning of gray whale observation in Magdalena Bay. These local guides from Puerto Lopez Mateos accompany naturalists and guests on our Zodiac whale watching excursions.
Lindblad Expeditions helped support the RARE Center's program, which trains individuals as guides for ecotourism and helps spread education in local communities. Whale watch guide Carlos, second from the left in the photograph, was the first graduate of Baja California's RARE program.
