Isla Carmen & Isla Santa Catalina
What is the perfect day, you ask? The perfect day is to wake up cruising with a nice sunrise, calm seas, and knowing you’re about to embark on a day full of adventure, and priceless photos. Our day started at Isla Carmen at the Arroyo Rojo; a perfect setting for photos of volcanic rock, that cast the color of Carmen into the inviting sea. Could this day get any better? Why yes, we return to find a deck BBQ, and ice cream…could they feed us any more on this trip? We journeyed across the sea to Isla Santa Catalina – ahhh Catalina where the famous rock elephant resides, while we snorkel beside and fish swim on by. A late afternoon dip is just what will do the trick. This day is so perfect what could be next? With a quick ride to shore we get off from our Zodiac to take a little stride. With walking shoes on, and camera in hand we explored this island full of giant barrel cactus, and the largest cordon in the land. I can’t believe this day could be so great! Now the sun sets and all I can hear our clicks, and clicks, from cameras all around. We have been blessed while the sun is going down.
