Our guests are out on the bow as the Sea Lion enters the lock chamber of the McNary lock and dam. Everyone was watching keenly as our natural history staff narrated our progress. We brought our 153-foot vessel into position alongside a floating ballard. There she would be tied up and lifted 75 feet up, to continue her passage east along the Columbia River.

This is the third lock along our journey up the Columbia, but our first "daylight" lock, so the lock-down draws a big crowd!
