Our visit today was to the quiet scenic island of Huanine. For the first time we tied up at the dock in the quaint town of Fare and disembarked via the gangway.

The morning commenced with the choice of a journey around the island on a ‘Le Truck’ or 4-wheel drive vehicle. Both tours included a hike to sacred maraes, stopping at spectacular viewing points and learning about traditional stone fish traps.

The afternoon was focused on water activities and included snorkeling among some stunning Pacific Ocean fish and coral and cruising gently around on a stand-up paddleboard. The day was completed with a stunning sunset cruiser past this beautiful island.
