Our last day exploring the Pacaya and Samiria National Reserve began with a gorgeous sunrise. So right after breakfast we loaded the skiffs and explored the area of Iricahua Stream. This lovely stream is surrounded with a pristine secondary growth forest. This spectacular scenery was enjoyed by our guest together with the songs of different species of birds.
It was a morning loaded with lovely sightings and sounds. The photographers had a lot of fun taking picture of every bird and mammal that came to our welcome. It was a remarkable morning.
Our afternoon activity was a visit to the small village of Puerto Prado. This is a Kocama village that have decided to preserve their traditions, dialects, and forest. We spend the afternoon with the families and learned about their survival in the Upper Amazon.
We were welcome with dances and music. We all participated of the joy they had for our visit. It was a great way to end our expedition of part of the Upper Amazon.
