Today we walked on an uplifted area called Urbina Bay that was rose in 1954, at once leaving fish and lobster stranded. As evidence of this event one can see giant brain coral and eroded pebbles where the shoreline was. We saw giant tortoises, land iguanas basking in the sunlight, a feral cat, a couple of large marine iguanas, along with several finches. In the afternoon we visited Tagus Cove where the guests were able to kayak, snorkel, ride along the shoreline in the Zodiacs and hike up Darwin’s Volcano.
