Today we explored the large sea-horse shaped island of Isabela. In the morning, we hiked at Urbina Bay at the base of Volcan Alcedo. We had 3 walk options to choose from: a long rocky hike, a photo walk, or a slightly faster paced nature walk. Back on the beach, we swam, snorkeled and the kids played in the surf. As we returned on board we had fun jumping from the ship!

We navigated during lunch to Tagus Cove where we were offered several different activities. The snorkeling was super, with sightings of penguins, cormorants and even a rare horn shark. The kayakers and paddleboarders had calm conditions and lots of wildlife. In the late afternoon, a group of hikers climbed up for a spectacular view of Darwin’s Crater Lake and two Zodiacs cruised along the shore. We had fabulous views of penguins both in the water and on land, splashing sea lions, and large resting marine iguanas among many other creatures. What an amazing day we have had, once again!
