We woke up to glassy waters and the sun rising over Isla del Carmen, which is where our morning activities took place. We strolled through a dry arroyo. To get there, we had to traverse through a marshy mangrove patch. We also kayaked and beachcombed for shells. Some guests went for a refreshing dip in the lovely waters of the bay. The weather was wonderful. We then departed the bay and returned to the ship for lunch, complete with a surprise ice cream sundae bar on the sundeck. What a treat! We spent the afternoon cruising the area around Isla del Carmen. We happened upon humpback whales, mobula rays, and sharks leaping out of the water. A classic day on the water in the Gulf of California!
