This morning the National Geographic Endeavour II visit the legendary James Island, a place visited by a number of pirates, whalers and Charles Darwin himself who spent his last days in the Galapagos here.
Early in the morning as a pre-breakfast activity we disembark with our guests onto a stunning volcanic beach known as “Espumilla”, our photographers had a great opportunity to walk along the beach and immortalized the moments with their cameras.
In the later morning we kayaked, paddle boarded and snorkeled at Buccaneer’s Cove, and in our way back to ship, a pod of bottlenose dolphins followed us, what a great morning.
In the afternoon, the National Geographic Endeavour II anchored at South James Bay. A great hike along the tidal zone was offered and snorkeling off the beach.
