Today, our expedition brought us to the picturesque island of Korcula, renowned for its medieval charm and rich cultural heritage. Our guests wandered through narrow cobblestone streets, discovering hidden treasures such as the Cathedral of Saint Mark and the Church of the Brotherhood of All Saints, active since 1301, with up to 500 members.

We learned that Marco Polo fought on the Venetian side against the Genoese during the Battle of Korcula in 1298. He was captured and ended up in prison for almost a year when he wrote the experiences of his travels around the world.

The day concluded with the traditional Moreska, which is an elegant sword dance fight between the Christian and the Ottoman kings for the love of a woman by the name of Bula.

As the sun set over the Adriatic, guests returned to the ship, enriched by the history, culture, and natural beauty of Korčula.
