Imagine waking up to the echoing calls of red-throated loons in Punchbowl Cove. Imagine exploring a remote fjord with waterfalls and bald eagles in towering trees in an old growth forest. Imagine kayaking and paddle boarding on a balmy afternoon not caring if you fall in the water.

This is Southeast Alaska at its best. Day one of our 10-day Big Picture Photo Expedition is one for the books.

The day was capped off with a full moon rising over New Eddystone Rock, a volcanic neck rising from the Behm Canal.
