During the night the Delfin II reached the farthest away area of our exploration trip, but before starting the long journey back to Nauta (where we started our trip), and in order to maximize our reach even beyond into the huge Pacaya Samiria preserve of Peru, we started the day making an extra effort. We departed by skiff during the night before dawn. The idea is to be at the heart of Pacaya Samiria when the sun comes out, and the activity and the light is the best.

So we did… And it payed off, the sights today and the scenery were just spectacular, red howler monkeys, large black caimans, jabiru storks, Amazon giant river otters!

And full served breakfast at the park-ranger station (thanks to our hard-working crew).
