Today’s exploration, and the last expedition of the week, took place on one of the oldest islands of the Galapagos Archipelago, San Cristobal Island. San Cristobal Island is located on the eastern side of the Galapagos Archipelago, home to the biggest colony of one of our favorite Galapagos animals, the Galapagos sea lion. Today we had close encounters with these playful and curious creatures, as we did with blue and red-footed boobies as well. For sunset we navigated around Kicker’s Rock, a beautiful geological formation, where we saw the moon rising in between the walls of the two towering rocks. A beautiful day to end a very special expedition in the Galapagos Islands.
