Today was our last full day of our expedition and we spent it exploring San Cristobal Island, the Capital of Galapagos. We started the day visiting Punta Pitt, the closest point to mainland Ecuador.
We did a hike uphill because we wanted to see the red-footed boobies nesting in the vegetation. We saw not only red-footed boobies, but also frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies nesting along the trail. After this beautiful hike, we had the chance to snorkel with sea lions in fresh, crystal-clear water.
During the afternoon, we visited one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches of the Galapagos Islands, Cerro Brujo, located not far from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno where we are taking off tomorrow with wonderful memories in our hearts.
