This morning we awoke as we were approaching our visitor site, known as Cerro Dragon, located at the north western point of Santa Cruz Island. We disembarked early today; it was a sunny morning and the Galapagos land iguanas were going back under the bushes to look for shade. The famous Darwin finches, Galapagos mockingbirds and lava lizards were on display—it almost seemed as if they were posing for photos! Back on board, we quickly changed to head out for deep water snorkeling at Guy Fawkes Islet. Here we saw a huge school of fish and several playful sea lions.
After a delicious Ecuadorian lunch, we were ready for the afternoon adventure, this time by Eden Islet. Here our guests had the opportunity to choose from kayaking or Zodiac cruising. Our young explorers enjoyed Zodiac driving lessons. The last hour of this great day was spent circumnavigating Daphne Major Islet, while enjoying wine tasting from South America. Every day is fun-filled in Galapagos!
