We headed on a pre breakfast walk on Espumilla Beach, to explore a mangrove forest and a fabulous view from the top of the little hill that crowns the trail, which is covered with a mature forest.

In the past this location was a longtime favorite of pirates, buccaneers and privateers. Supplies such as fresh water, firewood, and unfortunately plenty of tortoise meat was found in the surroundings. This is place known as Buccaneers Cove, where we also had a chance to snorkel.  While snorkeling, a few varieties of fish were spotted and we had the chance to swim with some sea lions.

After lunch naturalist Antonio Adrian gave a talk about Charles Darwin. Immediately after we disembarked at Puerto Egas. We had a couple of options,  a long and peaceful walk along the coastline or spending the whole afternoon swimming, snorkeling and spending time at the beach.

Satiago was an island visited by Darwin.  In fact he spent 9 days on this island, exploring the highlands and the wilderness of this incredible place.

Santiago Island was at its best today giving us a combination of wilderness, various weather conditions, amazing landscapes and great encounters with the abundant and famous Galapagos fauna.

It was another full, wonderful day in the Galapagos!
