Another spectacular day in Southeast Alaska! Our guests enjoyed a delightful morning stretch on the sun deck with Anne Marie, which was followed by delicious smoothies concocted by the best galley team in the fleet. The morning’s Zodiac cruises at South Sawyer Glacier did not disappoint, and guests enjoyed hundreds of harbor seals, arctic terns, and lots of calving action from the glacier. The crew had some fun as they repositioned the Zodiacs over to North Sawyer while guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch back on the ship.
The afternoon at North Sawyer proved just as phenomenal as the morning. Guests enjoyed some quiet kayaking under epic waterfalls and drizzly skies. It was truly a magical moment. We headed back to National Geographic Sea Lion for cocktails and more food, of course! Our final recap was full of stories, including “The Cremation of Sam McGee,” and guests had an opportunity to share their favorite moments and memories from the trip. Our evening ended with the guest slideshow put together by photo instructor Alex. It was a magical week that we won’t soon forget.
