After cruising through the night, National Geographic Sea Lion arrived at Wrangell, Alaska. Morning came early for our guests and there was a sense of adventure in the air. Today there was truly something for everyone: wildlife viewing, jet boating up the Stikine River, getting up close and personal to the Shakes Glacier, hiking to the scenic Mount Dewey overlook, soaking in Indigenous stories from the Tlinkit Shakes family, and exploring the museums and shops of this quaint Alaskan town.
But dinner may have been the most anticipated part of the day. We ended our evening laughing with bellies full of Dungeness crab almost too indulgent to enjoy… almost.
