Today was our last day in the Amazon and we explored wonderful creeks in search of the unique plant life of the area, including the giant lily pads, Victoria Regia. We even found one of their magnificent flowers in bloom. It was also our chance to get a glimpse of life in these remote parts of the world by visiting a small community, which provided us with a warm welcome.
In the afternoon we experienced the confluence of the Amazon River, a perfect way to conclude our week exploring this special place.
