Early in the morning with the first light of the day, we began to explore a very small creek near Yarapa River, where paradise tanagers showed up along the with red scarlet macaws, flying high in the sky. After breakfast, we visited Puerto Miguel community, a lovely tow that has a great market for handcrafts very unique to this area.
In the afternoon, we explored Casual Forest, a very interesting initiative run by the nearby community. They helped us to find exotic wildlife of the area and showed us around, and in exchange we paid a fee that supports the community, and instead of fragmenting the forest by logging, they conserve it for tourists to see.
